スウェーデンで孫を世話する祖父母（と法的な保護者）に育休を譲渡できる法律が施行されたお話。条件はあるけれど、最大3ヵ月譲り渡せる。

それよりも驚いたのは、スウェーデンは半世紀前からすでに父親の育休手当を導入していたことだ。日本の1974年といえば高度経済成長期で男性はモーレツに働いていた時期だろう。

当時の父親の育休取得率は0.5％程度だった。しかしながら現在は30％に上がっている。ちなみに、日本の男性の育休取得率は17.1％だ。
