面白い記事が多かった。まず細胞培養を使ってフォアグラを人工的に生産しようとするフランス企業のお話。

この記事読んでこの本を思い出した。

脂肪肝は、肝臓の細胞に脂肪が蓄積した状態です。フォアグラはガチョウや鴨に大量エサを食べさせて脂肪を蓄積させた肝臓です。無理矢理にエサを与えるのは虐待ということで、いくつもの国でフォアグラ作りは禁止されていますが、最大のフォアグラ生産国であるフランスでは文化であるということで認められているのです。

でもフランスの農業大臣？が全否定なのには驚いた。大人の事情があるのかもしれないが、かなり保守的だなと。

ちなみに P!nk さんの歌では Raise Your Glass が一番好きだ。

Different people might have different opinions of the world, but if you think intellectual freedom is important then you don't say that some ideas should be banned.
